Yarra Plenty Regional Library kindly volunteered to be one of the pilot libraries for Being The Best We Can and Christine Mackenzie and her team, along with peer reviewers, Michael Scholtes, Melton Library and Information Service, and Karyn Siegmann, Bayside Library Service, completed the process in July 2009.
Yarra Plenty Regional Library were rated a 4-star library (has major strengths, a high standard of provision, and any weaknesses do not impact on users’ experience).
Christine Mackenzie, CEO, Yarra Plenty Regional Library shared her thoughts on the self-evaluation process and the benefits of participation and being a peer reviewer.
Tania Barry, Branch Manager, Mill Park, was a participant in the evaluation team and was happy to share her perspective on the benefits of the self-evaluation process.
A comprehensive final report was produced which includes:
