Statewide Public Library Development Projects

PLQIM is a quality assurance tool specially developed by the Scottish Library and Information Council (SLIC) for public libraries in Scotland. It recognises the specific requirements of the public library service and its role in supporting wider policies, such as health, regeneration and public service reform.  PLQIM provided the inspiration and building blocks for the development of the Being The Best We Can Framework.
