Melton Library and Information Service generously volunteered to be one of the pilot libraries for Being The Best We Can and Michael Scholtes and his team, along with peer reviewers, Karyn Siegmann, Bayside Library Service, and Christine Mackenzie, Yarra Plenty Regional Library, are completing the process. They are almost finished with just a few loose ends to tie up!
Melton Library and Information Service were rated a 2-star library (satisfactory provision of core services, a few strengths and examples of good practice, and weaknesses have some adverse effects on some users).
Michael Scholtes, Library Services Coordinator, Melton Library and Information shared his thoughts on the self-evaluation process and discussed the benefits of participating in the pilot as well as being a peer reviewer.
